Practical help from a local computer guy

What I Do.

Computer and technology help for individuals, families, home offices, and small businesses—with straightforward advice and no unnecessary equipment or upgrades.

Start with what you need

A sensible solution comes first.

You do not need to know the technical terms or arrive with a list of parts. Tell me what you want to accomplish, what is not working, and roughly what you want to spend.

I’ll help you understand the options and find an approach that makes sense for you.

01 / PRIMARY SERVICE

Custom Computers

I build custom desktop computers around your needs and budget instead of selling you a predetermined system. Whether the computer is for gaming, work, entertainment, or everyday use, each part is selected with the whole system in mind.

You do not need to understand computer hardware. Tell me what you want the computer to do and approximately what you want to spend, and I can design the system from there.

  • Gaming PCs
  • Home and everyday computers
  • Home office and business PCs
  • Entertainment and media PCs
  • Special-purpose systems
  • PC upgrades and component replacement
  • RAM and storage upgrades
  • SSD upgrades
  • Graphics card upgrades
  • Windows installation and configuration

02

PC & Laptop Setup

A new computer is not always ready to use the way you need it straight out of the box. I can handle the updates, software, accounts, devices, and data transfer so you can start using it comfortably.

You do not have to purchase a computer from KPL Custom Computers to have me help set it up.

  • New Windows PC and laptop setup
  • Windows configuration and updates
  • Software installation
  • Data transfer from an old computer
  • Printer setup
  • Monitor and peripheral setup
  • Email and account configuration
  • General cleanup and configuration

03

Home Networking & Connected Devices

I can help plan, build, improve, and troubleshoot home and small office networks. The goal is dependable coverage and devices that communicate properly—not a complicated enterprise setup.

A job might be as small as getting a stubborn network printer working again or as broad as planning better Wi-Fi coverage throughout a home.

  • Home network planning and design
  • Wi-Fi setup and coverage improvements
  • Wireless access points
  • Routers and network switches
  • Wired Ethernet connections
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Network-connected printers
  • Computers and local network devices
  • Helping devices work together properly

04

Remote Computer Support

Many computer problems do not require an in-person visit. With your permission, I can connect remotely to your Windows computer using AnyDesk and troubleshoot the problem while you remain at your computer.

You authorize the connection, see what I am doing on your screen, and remain in control of the session.

  • Windows problems
  • Software troubleshooting
  • Application configuration
  • Printer problems
  • Email problems
  • Updates
  • Computer settings
  • General troubleshooting and assistance

Still wondering?

Don’t see what you need?

Computer and technology problems do not always fit neatly into a category. If you are not sure whether something is a service I provide, just ask. Tell me what you are trying to do or what is not working, and I’ll let you know if it is something I can help with.
